Do we have the Strikers?

I would love to hear opinions of whether or not we have enough in attack this season to get the goals we need?
Can Manousos become the main goalscorer of the team?
Will the others get enough goals?

At this time, (FREE) OFI has:

1. Zorbas Panagiotis (previous team AEK Athens)
2. Manousos Giorgos (he scored allready 2 goals against Giannitsa. 3. Perogamvrakis Alexandros (very talented striker but very unlucky allready)
4. Marinkovic Nenad (previous team Dinamo Kiev)
5. Wlodarczyk Piotr (previous team Aris Salonica - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Wlodarczyk+Piotr&search_type=&aq=f)
6. Pesic Alexander (this summer he was tested by athletico madrid)

My personal opinion, every single one of them is very skilled.

holo you have forgotten agritis and i think that zorbas is not a striker but a haf.anyway.i believe that niki papavasileiou and moiron sifakis will make them score and win.

Just a brief pros and cons account:
Wlodarczyk:
+the best cv among them all; formidable scoring record
-used to stay on the bench for his previous team; 32 years-old; lack of speed

Agritis:
+best 'overall package': good quality, good age; maybe wants to prove he can fulfil his earlier promise
-rumoured to fancy his nights out; lack of goals in recent seasons

Manousos:
+showed a lot of promise last year; good goalscoring record with Aeolikos
-lack of consistency; last year didn't have a clear role in the team (reckon Nicky and Myron will fix this)

Pesic:
+buckets of talent; seems to have been practicing through the summer, after all
-still, no pre-season training; too young

Perogamvrakis:
+very talented; great signs so far
-too young... maybe... maybe not

Marinkovic:
+very skilled, very talented
-quite young

Overall, despite last-minute efforts to bag another striker, I wouldn't be too worried. There seems to be an imbalance favouring youth over experience, but, maybe leaving Pesic aside because of age, I think it's more probable that our budding youngsters will help. It's a weakness that there's no strong back-up for Wlodarczyk, as we might have to switch our attacking play from game to game, and we may well need to count on a big man up front. Although none of our attackers comes free of questionmarks and footnotes, I doubt other teams can boast a better attackers' roster. Even Olympiakos Volou's hugely hyped Kapantais cannot claim a better cv than Agritis or Wlodarczyk.

Well,i dont understand why you include the youth as a disadvantage?
It is time that we trust the young and talented players when they are 16-18,not when they become 22-23.
Rouney was a starter in his 16,Raul the same,Ownen,Giggsy,and of course i shall not forget Maxlas,Kokos,Petran,Samie jr etc etc...I think that with Nicky on the team we will bring up a few young players.Not only Pero and Pecits but also Kokkinakis and Stathoglou are coming....

You're right, we must put faith in them, and build up the structures to let youngsters come through the ranks. I just wanted to show that they haven't proved themselves yet, so there's still a questionmark next to their name - not for long, I hope and believe! "If you're good enough, you're old enough".

I don't think you can make comparisons with Rooney Giggs etc. These players had been in the Premier league reserves and were showing huge talent and had also won Youth FA cups etc so they had been showing huge potential at a young age.
I am sure of Maxlas had his way then we would have secured a proven goalscorer at B ethniki level.
As it is we are left with players with something to prove and that is not a bad thing if they have the ability and motivation to make an impression.

I wrote about Gigs,Rouney etc, cause abroad,especially in France and Holland,especially some clever trainers like Venger,Gerald,give the chance to young players to "swim in the deep water"...In Grecce somebody is considered as a talent when he is 22-23.Abroad ,at this age ,players already consumated...
